Propaganda trains launched in Russia due to problems with conscription – DIU.

The pace of spring conscription in Russia is slowing down. As a result, the Putin regime is intensifying its campaign, extending it to rail transport, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported.

According to the intelligence service, the Kremlin has sent instructions to the regions demanding that they fulfill the spring conscription plan by any means necessary. This is important for Moscow because a decrease in the number of conscripts means a decrease in the number of people willing to sign a contract with the Russian army.

The DIU noted that the campaign praises the Russian military and promotes messages that conscripts will not be sent to fight against Ukraine.

The campaign uses the resources of Russian railways. According to the intelligence, passenger cars and electric trains are decorated with militaristic drawings that glorify military service, as well as Russian weapons and equipment.

Thus, modern Russia under Putin’s leadership resorts to the old methods of Bolshevik propaganda, including the use of “agitation trains,” the DIU concluded.

Less than a month ago, Russian propagandists claimed that the number of people willing to fight against Ukraine in Russia had increased significantly after the Crocus City terrorist attack. Despite the fact that the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the shooting in the center near Moscow, Russian society stubbornly and unreasonably continues to blame Ukraine.
